It was a night that exceeded all expectations – over 700 people came to the Dress for Cancer event to support the fight against a disease that takes the lives of too many loved ones every day. And people did not come empty handed, by the end of the night over 50,000 NIS was raised for ICRF – Israel Cancer Research Fund and Friends of Schneider Hospital.

At 7:30pm the flood gates opened and soon Kastiel complex was swarming with attendees, photographers, and designers who sold their designs at stalls set up throughout the space. Servers circled (if they were not attacked the minute they came out) the space with hors d’ oeuvres, which were yummy sushi by the way, and 2 bars offered up plenty of drinks. Then at 9pm everyone started making their way (more like forcing their way) to the runway to see the fashion show. There were so many in attendance that the fashion show had to go on twice so that everyone who came would be able to actually go in and see it!
The show was preceded by inspirational speeches about the cause, especially by Tom Peled, the founder of Bike for the Fight and one of the sponsors of the event. IDC Herzliya students did a great job strutting their stuff down the runway in items that were donated by the designers, and were up for sale. After the shows everyone partied with yet more drinks and food, cupcakes anyone? Yes please!
It was magical night all around.
