Lilamist’s Spring ’12 Fashion Show in Tel Aviv
This spring we attended the launch party of Lilamist’s new spring collection. It was held in a little studio that was so off the beaten path, we thought we were lost. Upon finding it, in what seemed to be the middle of a multi-level parking structure– we found a mini gala upon a rooftop filled with many of Tel Aviv’s top fashion divas. read more
Trend to Try- The Chevron Pattern
Chevron is not new to the scene (it was a break out trend in 2011), but it’s definitely an under-hyped easy to wear trend that we love. So expect to see this one continue for awhile. If you haven’t tried it yet, we are sure you will notice it now popping up especially in jewelry design.

Whether or not you keep up with the news in Israel, you have probably heard about the multitude of issues that constantly rise up concerning the ultra religious sect here. The most recent of these being the unfortunate and degrading demotion of women on public transpiration; women are constricted to entering and sitting at the back of the bus in the ultra religious areas of Israel. If a woman does not abide by this rule, there are unpleasant consequences. This reminds us of the type of segregation that was abolished back in the 60’s, by the civil rights movement in the USA (not a pleasant comparison). The fortunate thing is that it’s 2012, which means that it won’t be decades before people will protest against these sanctions. In fact, people and the media are speaking out about this now.

Trend Watch 2012: 20′s Fashion- Part Two

In part 1 of the 20′s trend watch, we gave a brief intro of the decade and showed runway looks from New York and Milan. Now we scoured for hours and hours and bring you all the best 20′s inspired collections from our very own Israeli designers. This was no easy feat folks!
