Once again Tel Aviv Gindi Fashion Week gyrates on the building site of soon to be Gindi Fashion Mall- which is set to open in 2015. The thrilling Israeli fashion and style extravaganza takes place from March 9-12, 2014.
The venue is under a tent in a parking lot whilst construction carries on aside of it. The production led by Moti Reif is top of the line. Drunken orchid flower arrangements grace the space along comfortable seating. The venue houses a cafe, bars, press room, and enough bass to turn you on.
Paparazzi, celebs, and style bloggers piled in the elegant setup and champagne flows.
The Italian fashion world once again proves to be a powerful ally to Israel, who’s well on its rise to a internationally recognized fashion state!
Missoni, famous Italian fashion house, opened the fashion week with its Spring 2014 collection. Missoni launched in 1953 and still remains a family business and is known for its colorful knitwear and zigzag pattern (Target by Missoni was a hit last year if you remember).
The Missoni show adorned with red chevron gates, reference its trademark zigzag and both added to the atmosphere and subtracted from the photographer’s shots. Missoni-esque carpet padded the runway. Soundscape music of beach seagulls relaxed the crowd as models entered in bird print fabrics- evoking the brand’s values in adventure and travel (that adventurous spirit unfortunately led to Vittorio’s, son of the founder, death last year when his plane went missing north of the Los Roques archipelago).
Missoni has been represented in Israel by AMOR, a curated high fashion shop, for sometime now.
Our photos were taken by award winning photographer, Yuval Tebul who captured visceral moments of the night.
