Happy Valentines day to all! And even if you don’t celebrate, you’ve got to admit its a great excuse to talk romance. We asked 4 of our old and new blogger friends to tell us what romance and of course, romantic style, means to them. Here is what they had to say:

Angel of Yupka

Angel Piven intro2Tell us about you:
Angel Fiben (Israeli, originally from Moldova) – I started a fashion blog Yupka last year, in order to express my love for fashion and also my passion for writing. I have been engaged in art (painting) from childhood. Over the years, I realized I wanted to express my art through fashion and today it is an integral part of my life. I’ve always loved to write, and now I have found a way to combine the two worlds. I think this is the best way to declare who I am.

What’s your favorite romantic food?
I think the most “romantic” food is Italian! I fell in love with Italy when I traveled there. It is to me, the most romantic place on earth. This is also when I fell in love with Italian food. A perfect date for me is an Italian restaurant with good quality wine.

What’s your favorite romantic activity?
Truthfully, the best romantic pastime for me is late night conversations with my partner. There is nothing more romantic than sitting, talking and laughing into the wee hours of the night.

What is your romantic Style?

I’m a very nostalgic person and am always thinking about the old times. This is apparent in almost everything in my life, even in music I love – old jazz records, 70’s music, I am a big fan of Elvis Presley also. I always find myself reflecting upon different eras, and this is also evident in my styling, I love vintage and second hand.

What, if anything, are you doing for Valentines day?
I will most likely celebrate Valentine’s Day by going to a good Italian restaurant :).

Kristóf of White City Boy

Kristof Joseph Steiner intro 2Tell us about you:
Kristóf Joseph Steiner (Hungarian & Israeli) – journalist for TimeOut Israel‘s LGBTQ column, blogger and founder of White City Boy, and vegan chef for personal order.

What’s your favorite romantic food?
Oven baked garlic, hahaha. Okay no… I love making a huge vegan pizza for special nights – after all sharing is caring.

What’s your favorite romantic activity?
Making love of course – but I also love bubble baths, long walks on the beach, and candlelight dinners… aw, I’m such a cliché!

What is your romantic Style?
The most romantic is when we don’t have to dress up at all – staying in a robe all day is fun! But if I must dress, I’d put special attention not to wear black or gray – as my husband hates when I wear dark colors.

What, if anything, are you doing for Valentines day?
No special plans yet but now that you mention it I might come up with something… maybe make ‘home made sushi’ – ‘Sex and The City’s’ Samantha style. :)

Katerina of Ocean Wind

Katerina Aizenberg introTell us about you:
Katerina Aizenberg (Israeli, currently resides in Toronto, Canada) – I write a personal fashion and style blog called Ocean Wind, for more than 2 years now. I love everything beautiful, inspiring and aesthetic. I have degree in economics but find fashion and styling way more fascinating and creative.

What’s your favorite romantic food?
My favorite romantic food is fine chocolates with good wine. It’s indulging, creates the right mood and doesn’t leave you stuffed.

What’s your favorite romantic activity?
Taking a couple of days off in a cabin (zimmer), and having some quality time together with a partner. Especially during the Valentine’s Day period, when it’s cold and windy outside and I can spoil myself in a hot tub with the above mentioned chocolates and wine.

What is your romantic Style?

I’m not a big fan of romantic style as I’m not so girly by nature and don’t own many pieces of this kind. But I do have “romantic” moods from time to time and that’s when my H&M pink dress comes in handy. I always feel so feminine when I wear it!

What, if anything, are you doing for Valentines day?
I don’t have any plans for Valentine’s Day yet , but I can tell you one thing for sure – I’m not giving up my chocolates!

Morgane of The Leopard Legs

Morgane Portheault Koresh introTell us about you:
Morgane Portheault Koresh (French & Israeli) – Fashion blogger behind The Leopard Legs. I grew up in the most romantic city in the world before moving to Tel Aviv few years ago. I wouldn’t describe myself as romantic, but I always follow my heart and its instinct for happiness.

What’s your favorite romantic food?
French gastronomy is really sensual and romantic if you ask me! But strawberries work fine too.

What’s your favorite romantic activity?
Maybe because I grew up in the city of lights, where every other (natural) light is hidden, I’ve always been obsessed with starry skies. It really makes me emotional when I see millions of stars – you feel so small, and at the same time you are so excited to be part of this beautiful thing that is Nature! Mitzpe Ramon in Israeli southern desert is a great place, but my favorite spot for stargazing has to be the South of France.

What is your romantic Style?

I always find it hard to put words to my style, for me it’s more a feeling, a way to express a mood or to choose what you want to be today. But when I wake up in the morning and I feel like being romantic, I always go for flowers in my hair, and the clothes are bohemian meets “Little House on the Prairie“.

What, if anything, are you doing for Valentines day?
I’m not that much of a romantic person when it’s planned. I love when life surprises me. I believe that the most romantic moments in your life are the ones that happen to you. For me, Valentine’s day is more of a day to play with heart shaped accessories! I always love this day for being fun rather than romantic. And it’s another great excuse to drink champagne!
I believe that romantic moments can happen all the time, if you’re ready to be surprised and to enjoy each moment of love that life brings you.

– We could not agree more!
